Volunteering

There are many opportunities for men and women to live out their faith through volunteering with Ray of Hope. Volunteer opportunities include giving your time as a youth mentor, serving meals and offering encouragement to men and women in downtown Kitchener, or assisting in our chapel program. As a youth mentor, you are able to share your talents and gifts with troubled youth, offering them a renewed sense of hope and purpose. By volunteering you are empowering those who have been cast aside by others to live out the life God has intended for them.

Volunteer Opportunities

Community Centre - whether you are providing a home-cooked meal, serving meals, helping with clean-up or offering encouraging support, in giving of your time you are giving someone in need a chance at a fresh start.

Donations and Financial Giving - in giving financially or offering food items and your previously-owned clothing and blankets, you are providing warmth and protection to many men and women in need.

Youth Mentor - Our volunteer mentors help facilitate a youth’s transition back into the community by providing them with encouragement and spiritual guidance over the period of one year.

Chapel - We encourage youth to explore their own spiritual issues with the assistance of volunteers who participate by leading or sharing a religious or spiritual experience.
