Golf-a-Thon a Great Success

On June 14, 2010, on a glorious day for golf, we had 56 golfers join us in support of Ray of Hope at our annual Golf-a-Thon. Through their efforts and the generous support of their personal sponsors (family, friends, co-workers, neighbours) and local business sponsors we were able to raise more than $50,000.

A highlight of the day was the comments shared by Lila Read, the Principal of Kitchener-Waterloo Collegiate, about the partnership between Ray of Hope and her school in providing addictions counselling to students and their families. Ray of Hope is partnering with other school resources to provide this much needed service. Lila shared the stories of one parent and one teen that expressed the significant impact that this service is having in the lives of some of her students.
