Morning Glory Cafe and Bakery 10th Anniversary
On June 27th the Morning Glory Cafe and Bakery on King Street celebrated its 10th anniversay of offering a unique youth employment program in our community. Over this period of time over 190 young people have graduated from the 6 month training program and gone on to find permanent employment, or returned to school with new purpose. In recognition of this milestone the staff from a variety of Ray of Hope programs and volunteers undertook a renovation project to create more seating space and improve the movement of people being served. The space is much more open and brighter with the new set up and colour scheme.
Through the summer work will continue and we are planning on an Open House Celebration in the fall. In the mean time feel free to drop in for breakfast or lunch Monday-Saturday, to see the changes and visit with our staff and trainees.
