What do Ray of Hope volunteers do?
Volunteers support Ray of Hope’s staff in all of our programs through a wide range of tasks suited to different interests and skillsets. Volunteer activities include serving on the hospitality team, preparing and serving food hampers, cleaning, maintenance and handyman tasks, driving, teaching, recreational activities, gardening, administrative support, photography, and promotion.

What’s the time commitment?
We can work with the pre-established time commitments of most community service and educational placement requirements. Most other individual volunteers are asked to serve one (1) shift per week (3-3.5 hours) for 13 consecutive weeks, or 40 hours total, as a minimum commitment.

Do you offer community service and educational placements?
Yes. We have a limited number of opportunities for completing community service hours for court, or as an educational requirement. We also have several unpaid co-op/educational placement slots available each semester.

How do I get started?
It’s simple! Follow the directions in the Apply Now section below.
If you are looking to complete community service hours or apply for an educational placement slot, email our Volunteer Services Manager Ken Wideman at kwideman@rayofhope.net.
